Before requesting a consultation

Do you treat hand and wrist pain without surgery?

Yes. In many cases, non-surgical treatment is the best option.
Surgery is only considered when it offers a clear benefit. Every case requires a careful, individual assessment.

I’ve had pain for months but my X-ray is normal. How is that possible?

This is very common. Many hand and wrist problems do not show on standard X-rays.
A detailed clinical examination and, when needed, ultrasound assessment often reveal causes that routine imaging does not detect.

Can I request a second opinion before having surgery?

Absolutely. A well-founded second opinion often helps patients make decisions with more confidence.
During the consultation, we will review previous tests, do a physical examination with ultrasound if needed, and discuss all reasonable options.

What is your approach during the consultation?

I do not like being rushed. I take the necessary time to understand each case, explain the options clearly and recommend only what truly makes sense for the patient at that moment.
I avoid rushed decisions and the treatments I recommend are tailored to each patient.

Is this consultation only for hand and wrist problems?

The consultation is primarily focused on hand and wrist conditions.
In selected cases, and after proper assessment, I may also evaluate or advise on elbow or shoulder problems when they are functionally related.

The goal is to maintain a high level of specialisation and sound medical judgement in every decision.

Do you see foreign residents living in Mallorca?

Yes. I regularly see international residents.
Consultations can be conducted in English or Spanish, and the approach is adapted to each patient’s lifestyle and activity level.

How soon can I get an appointment?

The practice operates without long waiting lists, allowing timely assessment and treatment before problems get worse.

How soon can I have the operation?

There is no waiting list. If after assessing te case, surgery is deemed necessary, we can perform it within a week

Do you work with insurance companies?

No. The consultation is provided on a private basis.
This allows sufficient time for careful assessment and well-founded decision-making from the outset.
Depending on your policy, some patients may later claim partial reimbursement from their insurer.

Is hand or wrist treatment expensive?

The cost depends on the treatment required and is always explained before any decision is made.
The approach is based on medical judgement and choosing the most appropriate option for each case, with full transparency.
